The vacuum tank of both the VD furnace and VOD furnace is sealed with a single-layer hollow sealing ring and protected by water cooling;
Tank cover adopts butterfly head structure with high strength and uniform stress;
Vacuum tank car adopts frequency conversion speed regulation, and the walking is stable,
Vacuum pipe adopts water-cooled pipe, which can reduce the temperature of exhaust gas and airflow;
The observation glass of the manual observation window is equipped with inert gas protection and a stroboscopic device or TV camera device; realize manual temperature measurement and sampling and automatic feeding under vacuum conditions;
Oxygen blowing device of the VD VOD furnace is equipped with a special sealing device, which is less wear, leakproof and easy to adjust the oxygen gun;
Argon blowing and stirring;
Equipped with a PLC control system.
Vod degassing process: The vacuum pump creates a negative pressure state inside the tank, causing the gas in the molten steel to overflow and be extracted. Blowing argon gas for stirring makes the reaction in the VOD furnace more complete and provides more power, further overflowing and extracting the gas (degassing refers to dehydrogenation, denitrification, deoxidation, and desulfurization). As one of types of furnaces in steel making, VD/VOD furnace is mainly used for special steel, like bearing steel, tool steel, stainless steel production.
